I want to check our temperature sensors with an additional tool, not only with serverscheck.

but i can't connect to the sensors on port 161, 162... and with the public community.

i get an error: no snmp response from this ip...

where can i change some settings with the DS Manager that i can connect with the snmputil-tool ?

this is my config

    Alerting Options: SNMP Traps

or sends the serverscheck-server the traps?

What you are asking for is for executing SNMP GET requests; hence connecting via SNMP port 161 to request data from the sensor. That is not the same as SNMP Traps. SNMP Traps are message packets sent by a software or hardware device. It is not a request initiated by a NMS.

The Monitoring Software can send SNMP traps, not the sensors themselves. In that case the Monitoring Software acts as a middleware between sensors and an another NMS.
