We have just installed a new Temp/Humidity sensor. I was able to configure it through the DS manager. I then added the device to Serverscheck but the device shows 0 checks and is not producing a graph.

What is the output when run from command prompt in the agents subdirectory following:

    sensor_check -L log.txt -C TCP X.X.X.X:3001

where X.X.X.X is the IP address of the tibbo device

Last post will be moved as new topic as this topic relates to the new PoE sensors.

Where do I run this from?

This is not a PoE device.

The agents subdirectory of the main ServersCheck directory. In there you will find an executable called 'sensor_check.exe'

    Output is:

    Device Model = Temperature/Humidity Sensor

    Device Status = Normal

    Firmware Version = 5.00

    Number of variables = 5

    Ok so sensor works fine.

How have you set it up in the ServersCheck Monitoring software compared to setup described in the user manual?
  • scott.fscott.f
I added the sensor by clicking on the "monitor another device" button. I am running version 8.2.4 and the setup would seem to be a bit different than the wiki.

Did you follow the Wiki or the quick user guide (PDF - pages 7-9)?

You need to click on ADD NEW MONITOR or ADD MONITOR

and then select TEMPERATURE as monitor type. In the drop down box, make sure to select the TEMPERATURE & HUMIDITY sensor and Network as communication protocol.

Yes, I added the device then added monitor. It is setup as a network device with the correct IP address. It test fine when i ran the Test Settings button.

What license do you have and how many monitors do you have defined?

When running what is the error message?
  • scott.fscott.f
I restarted the monitoring service on the appliance and now it is recording checking the sensor.
