SensorGateway 1.6 munged dates in emails

Hi,

The sensorgateway has started sending invalid dates/times in alert emails. Here is an example:

"Message generated by ServersCheck on 23/05/2000 at 80:83

External Temp : WARNING (17.94)"

80:83?

Any suggestions?

    Some further info:

SNTP was set to sync (see http://imgur.com/l15cV)

however, the date and time in Device Info was all over the place: (see http://imgur.com/qyoYB)

When I clicked "Update" again in SNTP settings, the time and date were set correctly again and the emails show the correct time again.

As SNTP was active all the time, it looks like it could be a rollover problem at New Years?

    Thank you for reporting it.

Your issue has been forwarded to our development team for investigation.

    Is it now working ok?

    Hi,

It just reverted back to the messed-up time (see http://imgur.com/di1ke taken just now). It has not been powered off.

Once again, forcing an update via NTP causes it to regain the correct time and date again.

I am not sure if it is due to time zone 0 causing the issue as we don't see the same behavior on our test sensors nor has any other user reported similar.

While we further investigate this, can you deactivate SNTP and set time & date manually?

    Hi,

I have set time/date manually and will observe.

Is it possible that I have the wrong firmware for my device? I had updated it to 1.6 for my device but was slightly unsure about the hardwrae version.

    Hello,

Can you describe what your sensor looks like? Does it have open slats on the side?

This looks like the v3 pic on your download page, but the device info page says "Hardware Version : Release 2.0"

BTW it has now decided the time and date are wrong again, so it doesn't look like it's NTP.

You can do a reset of your SensorGateway as per user manual instructions while our hardware team investigates and tries to reproduce your issue.
  • evilalevilal
But is it normal that it reports that Hardware revision as 2.0 when it looks like the v3?
  • AdministratorAdministrator
    Hello,

That is normal, the hardware version is the same, the cases are just different.
