Usernames and passwords

[Deleted User][Deleted User]

Hi,
In order to monitor services on remote machines, we enter servername, username and
password. In serverscheck configuration file, all usernames and passwords are stored
in clear text format. Is it possible serverscheck can save them in an encrypted format on the disk?

Regards,Suat.

No it is not possible to save them in encrypted format.

This topic has been discussed several times in this forum.

    The reason is following:

1/ The configuration server should only be accessed by Admins (through http://<your computername>:1272). Those admins know the passwords anyway

2/ Non-admins should never access it through the configuration server but only through IIS or another server where you publish the content of the output subdirectory. When you configure this properly then a non-admin user is never able to access the configuration files and as such data is secured.
