Failed NIC

I had one of my monitors fail a few weeks ago. I finally changed it today after some unsuccessful troubleshooting. Has anyone ever had an issue where the NIC card died? I still have lights, but the switch says that the port is in a not connected state. Can these be repaired at a reasonable price tag?

    Which version of the Monitoring Appliance do you have? The first version or the second (the one with SSD inside and 1MB of RAM).
