Random temperature spikes

Hello guys.

We are experiencing random false temperature readings on our system.
It jumps for approximately 2,5 degrees, hits the warning temperature and drops a few seconds after to
it’s original true temperature. There is no records of this event on the monitoring software, just on the sensor gateways.
Any one had similar spikes?

Location A:
- Monitoring Software v16.4.9
- Default/standard communication with Gateway from location B
- Default/standard communication with Gateway from location C
- No alerts related to the two locations regarding those 2 temp. spikes.

Location B setup:
- Sensor gateway FW: 8.5
- Security door sensor
- Power fail sensor
Ping sensor set to ping from local gateway to a local server.
Location B has spikes on the head unit.

Location C setup:
- Sensor gateway FW: 8.5
- Temperature sensor
- Power fail sensor
Ping sensor set to ping from local gateway to a local server.
Location B has spikes on the temperature sensor, never on the head unit.

It can also be moved into the sensor section if it's more proper over there.

    Hi Amsidc,

Where are the locations of your temperature sensors? There might be some environmental factors affecting sudden temperature spikes.

    Hi,

We are looking at Spain and Luxemburg.
Spain room is under AC 22 degrees (spike for 3sec to 25),
Luxemburg is without AC 27 (spike to 30).

the spikes are at random times, doesn't follow any pattern.
They can occur once a week, sometimes multiple a day.

Looking at the video surveillance footage, there is no activity in the room at the
    spike event.

A temperature sensor reports the temperature it senses around the sensor. If there are spikes, then there are variations in temperature. This can have several reasons like air flow, heat exhaust from equipment and so on.
