Monitor Windows File Share

[Deleted User][Deleted User]
I need to perform a check to make sure that a windows file share is up and accessible. I can't figure out the correct way to do this. What is the best way to do this check, the SMB check won't tell me if the exact share is still up.

Thanks

Joel

You can use the FILEEXIST check type to verify if a file exists on a share. For example: 192.168.1.1docstest.txt

An error will be triggered if the share does not exist or if the file is not found

So would that check be targeted at a second machine, or does the file exists always run based from the monitoring server anyway. ie is the path always in relation to the serverscheck server?

Any check is always executed on the host running the Monitoring Software

The remote share needs to be accessible from the host running the Monitoring Software.
