No E-Mail alerts

Hi all,



we've got a suspicious problem with our Monitoring Software (v. 8.8.11) running on the ServersCheck Appliance.



We don't receive any E-Mails from the Monitoring Software. I checked the E-Mail alerting options. The standard maillserver is configured to "Internal Mailserver" and after saving the preferences and sending a testmail following Error Message occurs:



Please find below the results of the test:

# Sending SMTP alert to it@DOMAIN.de

# Using internal (built-in) mail server



Error: Could not make a connection to xyz.DOMAIN.de on port 25



I also checked the DNS resolution with the command "nslookup -q=mx DOMAIN.de" and got the right Mailserver (xyz.DOMAIN.de), so it doesn't seem to be a DNS Problem.

    Very often port 25 is blocked an ISP to allow emails being sent through their relay server (to avoid SPAM)

    Thank for the hint, the problem was our antivirus software disallowing s-alerts.exe send mails through our mailserver to avoid spam.
