Serverscheck software and SNMP Newbie

I have never used monitoring software and SNMP so am facing a steep learning curve. I have purchased a Sensor Gateway and a POWERUP sensor.



My goal is to be able to close down a group of windows and Linux machines in the event of a power failure. Could someone be so kind as to point me to good places to start. Any other pointed would be appreciated too.

    The Monitoring Software can execute a script on failure.



    You will need to create a batch file to execute the shutdown commands on Linux and Windows systems
