Web Page Redirection

I have my ServersCheck software installed on a machine that is also one of my web servers which means I cannon run on port 80. I have installed an ISAPI rewrite package on the machine so I redirect a normal web page on port 80 to my ServersCheck software running on port 1272.
The redirect display the three frames of the web page but then the contents each report 404 errors.
I think this is because IIS does not know what the default we page is. Does it have a name like index.htm or something ?
Or could the error me something else ?
Anyone with any ideas ?
