You can try and run it in debug mode as explained in the knowledge base.

    http://kb.serverscheck.com/index.php?page=index_v2&id=33&c=6

ServersCheck has a built-in fail-over meaning that it will automatically restart a component (like the monitoring_rule.exe) if it fails.

I get a message that states serverscheck is not installed correctly when trying to update.

Then perform an upgrade as explained here:

I am doing the debugging per the KB. How can I tell what monitor each post to debug.txt is coming from. It uses an numeric ID for each alert and not the name. I need a way to cross reference them. Also, I am getting connection to host errors in debug.txt but all alerts are showing no failures on the webpage.

From the message received from you it appears that the error is related to a Windows DLL not properly functioning. When look at the message it says:

    "faulting module msvcp60.dll"

This is a Microsoft library and not installed by ServersCheck (comes with your OS)

A search on Google shows some URLs where the DLL can be downloaded from (although this is at your own risk)

    http://www.google.com/search?q=%22msvcp60.dll%22&start=0&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8
