Ping fails for Base unit

I can connect a Base unit by web browser. However, ping to the Base unit fails.

Base unit settings
- IP address = 192.168.1.111
- Subnet mask = 255.255.255.0
- Gateway = 192.168.1.1
- Primary DNS = 192.168.1.1

My PC settings
- IP address = 192.168.1.100
- Subnet mask = 255.255.255.0
- Gateway = 192.168.1.1
- Primary DNS = Undefined
