Login Problem

tc_thuntc_thun
Hello

I have add members for login into the serverscheck webinterface. Then I have set the username and password. We purchased a 5 User licence but no user can login. The message "401 Unauthorized" appears.

What do I wrong?

Make sure the users.lic file is installed in the main ServersCheck directory. Only the first 5 defined users will be able to login.

The users.lic is installed. In the Member Management (I don't know the english real name. I've installed the german version) there is a message that only the 6 first defined users will be able to login. But no one only admin is able to login.

All I done is define a username/password and rights for each user. Is there anything else to do?
  • AdministratorAdministrator
You need to define the access rights too for each user.

Login into your online helpdesk account and submit your users.conf and serverscheck.conf file.

We will then try to see what is wrong with your configuration.

I don't know why but the user access works fine now.

    Thank you anyway.

I'm going to be crazy ...

I've created a new User and set him the rights to login to the Serverscheck Webconsole.

    .. 401 Unauthorized ..

In the User list he is the first user account. The first 5 Users should have the rights to login? Right?

    What do i wrong?

    What version are you using?

Open the users.conf file and see if the first line's password is encrypted. If so then upgrade to 6.6.2. This is a confirmed bug (preparation for 6.7.0) and has been fixed
  • tc_thuntc_thun
I have version 6.6.0 but updated now to 6.6.2.

    The problem already exist.

The first line in the users.conf was not encrypted.
  • AdministratorAdministrator
Login into the online helpdesk and send your users.conf file.

I assume that you only have 5 users defined.
  • tc_thuntc_thun
    I have send you an e-mail ...
  • AdministratorAdministrator
Please also send the file usernames.conf
  • tc_thuntc_thun
    Done.
  • AdministratorAdministrator
The issue is due to the ":" in the login name and password

Remove this and it will work fine. A fix will be written so that the ":" will not be accepted for a username or password
  • tc_thuntc_thun
No, it doesn't work. I choose a simple password like 123.

    Any other idea?
  • AdministratorAdministrator
And what is the login name?
  • tc_thuntc_thun
    The login name is: usr_idt
  • AdministratorAdministrator
The file you have given us the has a name of "USR_IDT" and for which the login name is

    StXX:XXX

Logging in with "USR_IDT" wouldn't do much.

Please note that the login name and password are case sensitive.
  • tc_thuntc_thun
Sorry I forgott to say that I have delete the user an create once again. Now it calls "usr_idt" > all small letters.
  • AdministratorAdministrator
Try again with the file you sent us
  • AdministratorAdministrator
Also use the latest s-server.exe as it fixes some GUI issues we saw when testing your user file

    See my e-mail.

I have restart the services again and know it works.
