Start Remote Service

This problem exists in version 6.3.4 (15 day Evaluation Version)

I am having trouble getting the "Start Remote Service" feature to work. The rule correctly detects that the service has failed, then sends the an e-mail to the address I provided in the Alerts section, but it never starts the remote service. I have the server address, service name, username and passwords filled in correctly, but nothing happens.

A post from a couple years ago included directions on running a test by creating a SSR.conf file and running the alert_reboot.exe file (apparently changed to alert_servicereboot.exe in later versions). I created the file and ran alert_servicereboot.exe and received the following output in the SSR.log file:

8/14/2006 1:34:51 PM: Successfully requested start of "WmdmPmSN" on 172.20.10.2. Waiting 30 seconds for start.

8/14/2006 1:34:51 PM: Successfully started "WmdmPmSN" on 172.20.10.2.

The service started correctly on the remote server, so I know there are no security issues. What am I missing?!?

Thanks in advance.

Restart remote service and reboot remote server are only available in the Enterprise Edition. Not in the trial one.
