Firewall Client with ServersCheck

FrancescFrancesc
Hello,

We want to do a rule that sends a mail from inside the network (SMTP) to an external account and after this, check with POP3 if the mail has arrived.

The problem is that our internal serverscheck can't arrive outside the network to the POP3.

If we activate the Firewall client, then it uses an ISA server and the serverscheck can check the mails with 110 port.

My question is:

Is there any incompatibility between Serverscheck and Firewall client?

Regards,

Francesc

We have not performed any tests in conjunction with ISA server and our software.

ServersCheck uses for POP3 TCP/IP socket connections to the remote host. You need to make sure that the client software for the firewall processes these packets. Please verify this with your firewall vendor (Microsoft)

    Hello,

I've tried with ISA server and it works, but then all the rules that don't have especified the proxy that they should use (and not all the rules have this field to be specified), these rules use the ISA server.

So, use Firewall Client doesn't looks to be a good solution with Servers Check.

Is firewall client is disabled, then ServersCheck uses its own configuration.

    Greetings,

    Francesc

Can't you define in your socks firewall client for which IP's to use the ISA server and for which to use direct network connection?

This way it shouldn't use the firewall client when monitoring internal systems and only for external systems that are behind the firewall.
