SMS alerts with the last version

FrancescFrancesc
Hello,

Until now, we've used Mseenger Mobile with a GSM modem connected to the COM1 port.

Now I've updated the application and it seems don't send mails.

I've tested the GSM Modem with your GSM test application and it works.

How should to configure the ServersCheck to use a method to send SMS without depending of a third company (as until now)?

Is there any difference with older versions?

Greetings,

Francesc

Mobile Messenger is since release 6.8 no longer supported and replaced by a component shipped with the software.

You need to change the settings and test it according to the online help file:

    Hello,

The test software works fine, but when I try to configure the Serverscheck, it shows NO MODEM DRIVER ENTRIES FOUND"

    What should I do?

    Thanks,

    Francesc

    And other question:

The SMS Center is the number of our GSM modem?

The SMSC is the number of the SMS gateway as provided for by your mobile operator.

What is the COM port of the modem?
  • FrancescFrancesc
The COM is COM1. I don't have any SMS gateway number. With the mobile messenger it worked but now with the new configuration it don't.

Any GSM has a SMS gateway defined for sending out SMS messages. Check your cell phone for the number.

Have you tried the GSM Modem Tester tool?

    Update your sms.conf with following:

    gsmmodem

    COM1<X>+32475161616<X>0000

replace +32475161616 with the SMSC number of your mobile operator

I've configured the SMS center number provided by the company but it continues without working.

the sms.conf is configured as you tell us.

And every time I try to do a test, the application falls and I must restart the Servers Check services.

Trigger an alert while running the s-alerts.exe in debug mode and reply with the output. It must be a configuration issue, as the same dll is used for both the GSM Modem Tester and the s-alerts.exe

Any news on running the s-alerts.exe in debug mode?
