mabumabu
Hi,

if I open a graph for a rule the label for the x-axis shows not the right days or time.

    A few questions:

1/ Does this issue apply to all rules

2/ Does this issue apply to all the different availability graphs or just the one for the last 24 hours
  • It seems that it apply to all rules and to all graphs.

The Monthly graph show Week 28 till 31 we are in Week 33.

For the Weekly it shows 01 till 07 we have 18th.

The Current graph shows 07:00 till 08:40 my time is 01:14 pm (13:14 Uhr)

All graphs = only availability or all type of graphs (availability, sla and value)?
  • Yes it apply to all typs of graphs.
  • AdministratorAdministrator
Check your graphsqueue folder if there are some files.

If so then verify that your s-graphs.exe process is still running. This often happens when running in debug mode and forgetting to activate that component.

It will restart automatically with a service is restarted.
  • There are no file in that folder.

    The s-graphs.exe is running.

I have end the process over the task manager and afterwards I have restart the Service "ServersCheck Monitoring Service". But the lables of the graphs still be the same
  • AdministratorAdministrator
if running the trial, then delete the rrd files in the serverscheck_database directory and the gif graphs in the outputgraphs folder

Alternatively you could also run the s-graphs.exe in debug mode.

You did not move the serverscheck_database folder by any chance?
  • Yes I use the trail.

I have delete the files now.

    No I didn't move the serverscheck_database folder.
  • Where are the graphs now?
  • AdministratorAdministrator
when the rrd files are deleted, the graphs should be reset after a service restart

Run the monitoring_manager in debug mode along with the s-graphs.exe

Send the ouput as a reply.
  • Here the output.

So the rrd files exist. How about the output of the s-graphs.exe?
  • There is no more a button for the graphs?
  • AdministratorAdministrator
If there are no graphs for a rule, then the icon is not shown. Please run the s-graphs.exe in debug mode as requested
  • You have requested to run the monitoring_manager in debug mode. I have done this as described in you FAQ "Running the Monitoring Service in debug mode"

Should I run the s-graphs.exe also in debug mode?
  • AdministratorAdministrator
Both should have been running in debug mode: monitoring_manager and s-graphs.exe (see earlier posts).

I already have the monitoring_manager data so now I just need the s-graphs.exe component one
  • The s-graphs.exe run now for more as 4 hours in debug mode but the the debug log files is empty.

I have start the debug as in " Running the S-Alerts.exe in debugging mode" described but with s-graphs.exe.
  • AdministratorAdministrator
And nothing appears on the screen either?

I apologize for the issues you are facing but the issue you described has not been reported earlier. This makes it hard in terms of determining the root cause.

However the problem seems to have started after an upgrade which makes us think that something went wrong in the upgrade.

Can you try to do a manual upgrade to see if that solves the issue:

    http://kb.serverscheck.com/index.php?page=index_v2&id=12&c=5

Or what you also could do is install it on a different system and then see if it works there:

    http://kb.serverscheck.com/index.php?page=index_v2&id=11&c=5
  • Now I have reinstall the software as described in the KB articel for the manual upgrade.

But I only have the graph for the WINDOWSHEALTH rule of the monitoring server itself but this will not be update.

I have check with FileMon and the monitoring_manager.exe try to open gif files from the outputgraphs folder. Also shows emon a BufferOverflow when the monitoring_manager.exe try to query html file in the folder outputhtml.

While testing the 7.5.5 release we discovered an issue in the serverscheck.conf file that could cause the graphs to be no longer plotted.

This has been resolved in 7.5.5. I hope that is the issue you were facing too.

Upgrade to 7.5.5 and try again.
  • It seems that the new version has solved the problem.

    Thanks
